Malibu by Mumford & Sons

Mumford & Sons are back, and “Rushmere” marks a significant evolution for the band. With the release of their new album, and the single “Malibu” we are able to take a look into that evolution. “Malibu” serves as the opening track, and it sets a tone that is both familiar and refreshingly new.

“Malibu” immediately draws the listener in with its warm, acoustic tones. The song’s feel is very reflective. It feels like the band is taking a moment to look back, and to look forward at the same time. The song has a very open and spacious feeling to it.
