Just a daily song is a personal music blog, curated in Belgium. We keep things simple: no ads, no ad networks, and we never sell or share your data. This page explains the little we do collect.
Analytics
We use a self-hosted, cookieless analytics tool (Umami) on our own server. It counts visits in aggregate, stores no personal profiles and doesn’t follow you across the web. It only starts measuring after you actually interact with the page.
Forms (contact & song suggestions)
When you use our contact or suggest-a-song form, we store your message, your email address and your name (if you give one) in our own site, and we receive it by email. We use it only to read and reply. It’s never shared with anyone else.
Reactions & comments
Song reactions (🔥 😌 😭 🍺) are anonymous counters — no account, no tracking. Short-lived technical data is used to prevent spam. If you leave a comment, the name and email you enter are stored with it; our spam filter (Antispam Bee) works locally on our server.
My playlist
Your playlist lives in your own browser (localStorage). It is never sent to us — we couldn’t see it if we wanted to.
Notifications
Our free song alerts run on our own notification server (ntfy). Subscribing means your device asks that server for new messages on one topic — no account, no email, no personal data from this site.
Embedded players & external services
Songs are embedded from YouTube in privacy-enhanced mode and only load after you press play; from that moment YouTube/Google’s own privacy policy applies. Links to Spotify, Telegram, Revolut and other services take you to those platforms, with their own policies.
Your rights
Under GDPR you can ask what we hold about you, and have it corrected or deleted. Just use the contact form — messages are kept only as long as needed to reply.
